This is our first post from a contributor. CNStars17 sent this to us and asked if we would be interested in sharing this information with the public. We looked through it and were very impressed with not only his research but his content. Thank you CNStars, and we look forward to hearing more from you. |

This first post will act as a clearing house of recent development in the field of eugenics. My goal is to substantiate that what I will continually speak of on a regular basis is fact. All future posts will focus on newer news items. -Ed In the "you'll live forever if you're ungodly rich" department: Scientists Find Genetic Switch That Keeps Organs Young In Old Age, 8/11/08 (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/117908.php) Who needs diet and exercise? If you have plenty of money, you can buy your way into a radically extended lifespan!

I arrive early for the second session of the Alpha Course. The pastor is pottering around in the hallway and as I enter the building he greets me with a warm smile and a pat on the shoulder. “Great to see you, Steve” he says. Both of us sit down in the meeting room and begin to chat. We spend ten minutes or so becoming more familiar with each other. We ask about each other’s family, each other’s history, our likes and dislikes, and what not. People begin to trickle in to the room and in a matter of minutes the group is made up of the same people that attended last week’s course opener. That’s a good sign. |

I am constantly amazed at the how life can be found on any environment on earth, and can survive any conditions it meets.
A little six-legged creature called the water bear, tardigrades, show they can survive even the open harsh vacuum of space and deadly radiation.
Why take water bears along in space?
From an article on Foxnews:
"Jonsson suspects that even the water bears that got through the space trip without any trouble may in fact have incurred DNA damage, but that the animals managed to repair this damage. Figuring out how they did that could inform medical research.

In a most fascinating study, it confirmed what I suspected all along: vegetarians and vegans lack brainpower. Now the science backs it up. "Scientists have discovered that going veggie could be bad for your brain-with those on a meat-free diet six times more likely to suffer brain shrinkage. " Here's the article: Eating Veggies Shirnks the Brain. Go and eat some steak! |

My daughter has recently started calling the planet Venus "baby": You see, my daughter, whose now 20 months old, is starting to expand her vocabulary, but in pretty interesting ways. For example, she calls shoes, socks and feet "shoo-shoo". She knows the word "feet" as "fee" or "ashi" (the Japanese word), but still prefers shoo-shoo. When she sees something small, she calls it "baby" because in her mind anything small is "baby". By contrast, anything large is "daddy".* |

In yesterday's post, I explained that while I have not been writing about Aspergers, I have been reading up on it. While I am interested in this topic (being an Aspie myself - and living with other Aspies), I am not an expert in this field in any way whatsoever. What I write are personal observations and should not be taken as anything other than that. |
