Science Guide

Seattle is beautiful. It's got everything except good weather. My commute involves walking along Lake Union which is filled with boats and amphibious planes. In the distance you can see several hills and mountains and as I look out my apartment window, the Seattle Space Needle pokes out above the buildings.

The music scene is great. I'm gonna see Stars and Fleet Foxes for less than 20 dollars each. Everyone in the lab is really friendly and we get to talk proteomics all day. The lab itself is huge, everyone has about 2 or 3 times the amount of space as we do in Ireland.

The only bad thing I can say so far is that its really difficult to find somewhere to eat. I passed 4 coffee shops and 3 gyms last night trying to find some dinner. I'll try and get some photos up soon.
